Jakarta - Symantec memperkuat perlindungan pada pengguna di bawah umur dengan jajaran produk terbarunya. Apakah itu?

Norton oleh Symantec hari ini meluncurkan Norton Safety Minder: Mobire Edition, sebuah aplikasi gratis yang memungkinkan orang tua mengawasi aktivitas smartphone anak-anak mereka.

Aplikasi ini digunakan sebagai bagian dari Norton Online Family, layanan keamanan online keluarga untuk PC dan Mac yang meraih penghargaan.

Melalui aplikasi baru ini, orang tua dapat menyediakan beberapa tool untuk mengajari anak-anak keamanan dan kebiasaan digital yang sesuai usia pada perangkat bergerak mereka.

Aplikasi ini memiliki fitur pengawasan web dan pemblokiran secara gratis, yang memungkinkan orang tua melihat situs apa saja yang dikunjungi anak-anak mereka dan memblokir konten yang mereka rasa tidak sesuai.

Digunakan melalui akun Norton Online Family mereka, orang tua dapat menggunakan pengaturan penyaringan web yang sama pada PC anak mereka dan menerapkannya ke telepon Android anak mereka.

Untuk memulainya, orang tua lebih dulu mengunduh aplikasi tersebut ke telepon Android anak mereka, masuk ke akun Norton Online Family mereka (atau membuatnya melalui aplikasi tersebut) dan kemudian dapat secara terpusat mengelola “Peraturan Rumah” pada perangkat tersebut melalui website onlinefamily.norton.com.

Lebih dari12 smartphone dapat ditambahkan secara mudah ke akun yang sama tanpa dikenakan biaya, dengan pengaturan berbeda untuk setiap smartphone, sehingga memungkinkan orang tua mengelola berbagai pengaturan melalui satu titik untuk anak-anak dari berbagai usia.

“Para orang tua mengetahui bahwa mereka harus terlibat dalam kehidupan digital anak-anak mereka, dan kebanyakan benar-benar mengelola dan mendiskusikan peraturan rumah untuk penggunaan komputer dan browsing Internet,” kata Effendy Ibrahim, Norton Internet Safety Advocate and Director, Asia, Symantec, berdasarkan keterangan resminya, Jakarta, Senin (13/2/2012).

“Namun untuk membuat peraturan itu bekerja, Anda harus memperluas mereka ke ponsel anak-anak Anda di mana aktivitas browsing web banyak terjadi. Dengan Norton Safety Minder: Mobile Edition, orang tua dapat membantu anak-anak mereka tetap berpegang pada aturan, terlepas dari perangkat mana yang mereka gunakan,” pungkas Effendy.

Autorun Remover

The Autorun virus is a Windows PE EXE file that spreads itself on a computer by making a multiple copies of autorun.inf files on each drive of the computer. Each time you insert a removable media or double click your drives in Windows Explorer, the virus files start executing. The Autorun virus creates a batch file called logon.bat and modifies the system registry to ensure that each time you boot your system the virus is launched automatically.

Once your computer is infected, the virus may clandestinely connect to a malicious website and install a rootkit on your computer. The rootkit may install a keylogger to steal your personal information such as account numbers, usernames, passwords credit card information, social security, and other sensitive information. It is therefore, highly important that you remove autorun virus from your computer as soon as possible.

The autorun virus can be removed both manually and by using any autorun virus removal tool. The manual removal time of the virus depends on the intensity of the attachment of the virus to the system. To remove the virus manually, you need to:

1. Kill the autorun process through Task Manager.
2. Boot the system in safe mode and open the command prompt.
3. List all system and .exe files on the C drive (or your OS drive).
4. Disable hidden, system, and read only attributes for autorun.inf and ntdelect.com (not ntdetect.com)
5. Delete both the files.
6. Repeat these steps for all the drives on your computer.
7. Search for kavo.exe in C:\windows\system32\ and delete it.
8. Open registry editor and delete all the entries of kavo.exe under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE
